The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on December 9, 2004.
Firstly, Mr. Natig Mammadov, CEC Secretary reported on the issue on the observation of the persons presented by the public union of International Investigation Center of Democratic Processes (IICDP) within the whole territory of the republic. CEC adopted decision on giving permission for the conduct of the observation by the persons presented by that public union within the whole territory of the republic.
Later, Mrs. Svetlana Gasimova, CEC Deputy Chairman and Mr. Yusif Baghirzade, CEC Commissioner reported on making amendments in the composition of some Con.ECs. CEC adopted decision on making amendments in the composition of Lankaran city Con.EC # 73, Barda village Con.EC # 94, Aghstafa Con.EC # 108 and Zagatala Con.EC 110.
The Commission also considered current issues.
Representatives of domestic mass media also participated at the CEC session.

The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on December 7, 2004.
Firstly, Mr. Natig Mammadov, CEC Secretary reported on the appeals entered CEC related to the postponement of the elections on some municipalities in the Municipal Elections appointed on December 17, 2004. As the law-based consequences were formed implied by Article 212.2 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Shaglaser municipality in Lankaran city within the territory of Lankaran-Masalli Con.EC # 75 and Samadkhanli second municipality in Masalli region within the territory of Masalli city Con.EC # 70, CEC adopted decision on the postponement of elections for the nomination of candidates and taking further measures. Furthermore, CEC decided that Municipal Elections appointed on December 17, 2004 should not concern the Khojasan municipality in Binagadi district within Baku city as the term of authority of its members have ended.
Later, the issue on the observation of the persons presented by the public union of International Investigation Center of Democratic Processes (IICDP) within the whole territory of the republic and the discussion of this issue was postponed for the next session.
Later, Mrs. Svetlana Gasimova, CEC Deputy Chairman and Mr. Yusif Baghirzade, CEC Commissioner reported on making amendments in the composition of some Con.ECs. CEC adopted decision on making amendments in the composition of Gazakh Con.EC # 107.
The Commission also considered current issues.
Representatives of domestic mass media also participated at the CEC session.

The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on November 27, 2004/
Firstly, Mr. Natig Mammadov, CEC Secretary reported on the issue of compiling Constituency Election Commission (Con.EC) protocols on voting results on municipalities distributed among territorial constituencies in the Municipal Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed on December 17, 2004. The Commission determined relevant Con.ECs that are to compile protocols on voting results on these municipalities.
Later, Mrs. Svetlana Gasimova, CEC Deputy Chairman reported on making amendments in the composition of some Con.ECs. CEC adopted decision on making amendments in the composition of Absheron Con.EC # 45 and Shaki Con.EC # 113.
At the session, appeals entered CEC related to the Municipal Elections were discussed. CEC considered the applications on complain of 10 citizens whose candidacies had been refused to be registered and adopted decision on the registration of the candidacies of 9 of them.
The Commission also considered current issues.
Representatives of domestic mass media also participated at the CEC session.
